This week we began learning about The Rosary and how to say The Hail Mary Prayer. We made our own rosary bead bracelets and used 10 beads to signify the 10 Hail Mary prayers. We took them home on Friday to share with our families.
We are a class of Year 0/1 students at Saint Paul's Catholic School in Richmond, Nelson, New Zealand. We hope you enjoy having a look at all the fun we have on our learning journey throughout the year!

Our New Picnic Tables
A big thank you to Kevin (Ms Dodd's husband) and the boys at NMIT for making our new picnic tables for our learning space. They are being put to good use each day in the sunshine at playtime and lunchtimes. Also thank you to Rodger and Kylie Stuart for the money to purchase these tables. They took out a home loan with ASB and our learning space received a donation :)

World of Maths Roadshow
We were also fortunate to have a Maths Roadshow visit our school last week. The senior students worked with each group of children moving around the different maths activities in Salisbury Hall. It was very hands on and the students were busy and focused for the whole hour. A big thank you to the parents who also helped us on the day.
Andrew Chinn Concert
We all enjoyed Andrew Chinn visiting us last week. Andrew is an Australian musician/teacher who travels around Australia and NZ schools. He is high energy and lots of fun! He included most of the children in his performance and they loved every minute of being on stage :)
